The Jerusalem Magistrates Courtroom has authorized a settlement in which Israel Railways and Danel, which delivers the guards for the trains, will shell out NIS 16,000 compensation to Maya Melitz. She was sitting down in a car on her way to work in 2018 and was advised by the safety guard, in contravention of the law, to alter autos after a congregation of males commenced their early morning (Shacharit) prayers.

They added, “The ruling establishes what should to be very clear in our society, that railway staff members may not instruct or even talk to ladies to shift because their presence bothers some guy, even when male passengers decide on to pray in the carriage. It is distressing that we are continue to forced to battle more than this in the courts, and we are happy that the court docket has created very clear what a railway guard should have an understanding of for himself.
